htaccess - Allow Let's Encrypt to Validate and Renew

When receiving the following Let's Encrypt error message:


domain.com: The SSL certificate expires on Sep 01, 20xx at
3:09:54 PM UTC. At the time of this notice, the certificate expired “-2
days, 2 hours, 9 minutes, and 51 seconds” ago.

The SSL certificate for “domain.com” has not been renewed. *You
must take action to secure this site.*

To upgrade to an EV or OV certificate, navigate to the “SSL/TLS Wizard
<https://webserver.ultrawebhosting.com:2083/?goto_app=SSL_TLS_Wizard>”
interface.

 

Add a RewriteCond to your .htaccess to allow the script to work:

RewriteEngine On
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} -f
RewriteRule ^\.well-known/.+ - [END]


If you understand rewrites and want to incorporate the necessary line it is the following location: 

RewriteRule ^.well-known/acme-challenge [L]
